Dr. Robert F. Browning has been the pastor of Smoke Rise since January, 1999. He is a native Kentuckian, graduate of Western Kentucky University in Bowling Green and the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville. He and Jackie have three children and four grandchildren.

A native of Atlanta, Ernie Forrester is a graduate of West Georgia College and State University and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas. He has two children and has served at Smoke Rise since April 1989.

Danny Vancil became the Minister of Worship & at Smoke Rise Baptist Church in May, 2006. A native of Illinois, Danny received a Bachelor of Arts in Music degree from Murray State University (1986) and a Master of Church Music from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary (1989).

Kellie Denton is the Minister to Families with Children at Smoke Rise. She is a graduate of the University of Florida and currently enrolled at McAfee School of Theology in Atlanta, Georgia. Kellie loves working with children and has a passion for family ministry. She and her husband Paul have two boys.

Carra Hughes Greer received her Masters of Divinity from McAfee School of Theology in Atlanta, GA and was ordained by Peachtree Baptist Church in 2008. One of Carra's passions is helping teenagers grow spiritually and assisting them in their understanding of how their faith intersects with their lives. Carra enjoys sharing her ministry with her husband, Brian Greer.

He supervises a community based sports ministry and day camp for the Stone Mountain area and is passionate about creating opportunities for people to give back through short term mission partnerships. He and his wife Debbie live in Dunwoody. In his free time he loves to play golf.

Kathy is an Atlanta native and a graduate of Georgia State University and New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary, and is about to complete a Certificate in Spiritual Formation from Columbia Seminary in Decatur, GA. She lives in Norcross with her miniature dachshund, Piper. Kathy has been at Smoke Rise since 2000.
