Sunday School for Grades 1-5
Summer 2009, “Live It Out”. Live It Out covers eight parables that Jesus told, and how they apply to us today. The parables included are Wise Man vs. Foolish Man, The Good Samaritan, The Unmerciful Servant, The Rich Fool, The Prodigal Son, The Sower & The Seeds, and The Two Sons. There is also one lesson on The Greatest Commandment. Focusing on the importance of taking in these lessons from God’s word and applying them to our lives on a daily basis, your kids will be challenged and inspired to LIVE IT OUT.
Missions
Following a rotational model, Club410 offers children Grades 1-5 at Smoke Rise the opportunity to choose classes centered around their interests. Based on 1 Peter 4:10, “Each of you has received a gift to use to serve others. Be good servants of God's various gifts of grace,” children are encouraged to share their gifts with others through service. Hands-on engagement in their classes teaches children the joy of loving others. Children are also encouraged to memorize a verse each month.
Preschool children (ages 4 and 5) and Kindergarteners learn through hands-on activities about people and places where God’s work is being done and how they can help.
Summer Camp
Each summer, children who have completed 4th and 5th grades are invited to attend summer camp. We connect with God in Bible Study and Worship and each other at Recreation and Meals. For the Summer of 2009, we will be going to Student Life for Kids Camp at Shocco Springs Conference Center, July 20-23. Registration is now closed for this summer.
