The mission of Smoke Rise Baptist Church is always to share the Good News of Jesus Christ. Utilizing the gifts that are ours as a congregation, we seek to make a positive difference in our community and the world. Under the Lordship of Christ, we willingly partner with those groups and agencies that are helping to make a difference in people's lives.

COMMUNITY MINISTRIES
Memorial Drive Shelter for the Homeless
Serve meals and/or spend the night as a host.
Habitat For Humanity
Help build our church sponsored house for a family that is without housing or in sub-standard housing. Projects range from framing to landscaping. All skill levels welcome! Habitat for Humanity
Stone Mountain Ministries
Provides ministries in Stone Mountain Park, the Village, and nearby areas.
Stone Mountain and Lilburn Cooperative Ministries
These ministries provide food, financial aid and clothing to those in need. Donations are collected year round.
Middle School, High School Service and Missions Camp
Local, weekly mission projects for 8-10th graders during the summer. Projects benefit literacy groups, refugees, disadvantaged youth. 3-5 weeks.
Mission Outreach Through Recreation
The recreation ministry conducts sports clinics and camps for inner city children.
Women's Missions
Six mission circles for women to learn about and participate in missions.
Brotherhood
Mission organization for men to promote and support missions.
Mission Projects and Trips
Smoke Rise sponsors local, national and international mission trips each year bringing the love of Christ to struggling churches and communities.
The next three Katrina Mission trips in 2008 are scheduled for March 6th - 9th, April 10th - 13th, and May 8th - 11th. The rest of the trips are scheduled for June 5th- 8th, July 24th - 27th, September 4th - 7th, October 9th - 12th, November 6th - 9th and December 4th - 7th. Sign-up forms and Q&A handouts are available at the links below and also in the church missions office. There is home recovery work available for all skill levels and most ages. Veterans (previous volunteers) are welcome to return again. Mention the upcoming trip in your Sunday School classes. Check out the four-minute slide show at the link below, depicting volunteer activities. You will return home knowing that you helped others in need.
